Why We Built This
We were tired of scrolling through 2,000-word life stories just to find out how much flour goes in the bowl.
The Problem
Modern recipe websites have become unusable. Every recipe comes with:
- A 1,500-word essay about the author's grandmother
- 17 pop-up ads for meal kit services
- Auto-playing videos that follow you down the page
- Newsletter modals that appear three times
- And somewhere, buried at the bottom, the actual recipe
You just want to know how long to roast the chicken. Instead, you're learning about someone's trip to Tuscany in 2019.
The Solution
We built a recipe platform with one rule: just the recipe.

The Technology
Every recipe on this site is structured data, not just text on a page. This means:
- Smart nutrition — We calculate real nutrition data by matching ingredients to the USDA food database
- The Remix Engine — Our AI can take any recipe and adapt it: make it vegetarian, adjust for allergies, scale the servings, or completely reimagine it
- AI-optimized — Every recipe has a machine-readable version at /recipe/[slug]/llms.txt for AI assistants to understand
- Lightning fast — Static generation means pages load instantly, even on slow connections

Our Recipe Library
We're building one of the most comprehensive, well-structured recipe databases on the web. Every recipe includes detailed metadata: prep time, cook time, equipment needed, dietary flags, nutrition information, chef's notes, and cultural context.
When you use our Remix Engine to create new recipes, they join the public library—helping everyone discover new ideas. It's a community-powered recipe collection, enhanced by AI.
The Philosophy
Recipes are instructions, not content marketing. They should be fast to read, easy to follow, and impossible to lose in a wall of ads. We think cooking should be accessible to everyone, without needing to navigate a maze of sponsored content first.
