Method

Place the sliced strawberries and optional blackberries or blueberries into a mixing bowl.

Add the sugar to the berries and toss gently with a spoon to coat the fruit evenly.

Allow the fruit to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to allow the sugar to draw out the juices.
